Joining the Credit Union is the best decision you could take for your money.
Our Credit Union lets employees of Royal Mail within England and Wales come together to save and borrow money at low rates. It is operated on a not-for-profit basis, with surpluses being returned to members.
To apply please print off and complete the Membership Application below and send it to us together with proof of your ID and residence. We will gladly send you a Membership Application if this is more convienient.
Together with all Financial Institutions we are required by the Financial Services Authority to hold proof of our members residence and identification. If papers sent are insufficent we will use a licenced reference agency to help reduce the inconvience to prospective members.

Flexible & Convenient Loans Members can take out flexible loans 8 weeks after joining, and repay at tailor-made schedules. All our loans carry free life insurance.
Dividend on Savings An annual dividend is paid to members based on savings (providing profits allow). This is calculated at the end of the credit union year (September 30th) and then put to the Annual General Meeting for approval. Recent dividend payments have been: 2003/4 - 2%, 2004/5 - 2%, 2005/6 - 1%, 2006/7 - 1%, 2007/8 - 2.5%, 2008/9 - 5%
Christmas Account Members can apply for Christmas account offering an easy way to save for the festive season and a greater dividend (currently 1.5% higher than our regular dividend).
Free Life Insurance on Savings Members savings are covered by our Life Insurance scheme, giving free life insurance on your savings up to £5,000.
Quality Service You can be assured of a professional service from Credit Union at all times. There are no hidden charges for statements or an annual membership fee with your credit union!
Direct From Pay Savings and loans are deducted directly from pay. Watch your savings grow week by week without any trips to the bank or building society!
Stay With Us Once you have joined Penny Post Credit Union you can stay with us, even if you leave Royal Mail. Deposits are made by bank standing order. |
